Unique Wedding Tips for the Month
Be sure to check back frequently for more Wedding Tips!

Your Wedding Budget - Before you begin planning the wedding of your dreams, make sure you come up with an overall budget. Determine who is paying for each aspect of the wedding. Write everything down and save receipts for all purchases. Make sure you stick to your budget as much as possible. For samples of budget worksheets, visit the following website: www.weddingdetails.com (click on planning and tips).

Your Wedding Theme - The best advice is simple. Your wedding theme should be something unique to you and your fiancé'. Your theme should be carried throughout the entire event, starting with your invitations. For example, if you both love to travel, you can send out Save the Date cards in the shape of an airplane, letting your guest know about your upcoming wedding date. Another idea is to host your Rehearsal Dinner or Engagement Party in a Mexican restaurant, which can signify your first trip together to Cancun. You might also like to display framed pictures on tables throughout your reception cocktail hour of different vacation spots the two of you have visited. For simple favors, you can provide guests with a personalized luggage tag. Most importantly, be creative. You can Google search wedding theme's to get more ideas.

Your Wedding Memories - How do you capture the memories of all of the wedding planning you've been doing for the past year once the day is over? How do you keep from forgetting what your centerpieces or food displays looked like? The most important aspects of your day can be captured by a photographer or with a wedding video. Make sure you place these very important vendors at the top of your list ( after Wedding Coordinator ) of people to hire. Once you return from your honeymoon, you and your new spouse can then sit and enjoy reliving the day by looking at pictures and watching your wedding video!

Do I need to sign a contract should I decide to hire an Event Planner/ Wedding Consultant?
You should have some agreement in writing. A formal contract may not be necessary: a letter agreement, signed by both of you usually is enough. Please remember whether it be a formal contract or letter agreement, make sure it spells out what each of you will do, fees and payment schedules.
